Holy Week

Ms. Huggins has us ready for Spring.  She put a bumble sticker on each child's nose then we took a picture!

Key Concepts for the Week:

Religion--Monday and Tuesday we will learn about The Triduum.  Wednesday is Mass.

Language Arts--Monday we are going to be making the costume/hat for our play and practicing our reading parts, Tuesday perform our play, and Wednesday we will read and learn about Spy Wednesday.

Handwriting--No Spelling Test this week.  We will use our handwriting book Monday and Tuesday to practice the letter strokes for lowercase /p & r/.

Math--Monday we will complete the review of Chapter 12.   Tuesday will be the test.

Holy Week--The afternoons will be spent doing activities for Holy Week.  Monday the children will make a model for The Triduum, Tuesday we will be doing a Stations of the Cross-matching activity, and Wednesday afternoon we will be in the gym watching the 8th graders act out Shadow Stations of the cross.

We made our own palm branches last week and acted our Jesus' arrival into Jerusalem and on Friday the 1st graders had the privilege of walking the Stations of the Cross with Fr. Grant.

Thursday, we ended our water cycle unit by having the 1st graders work with a partner to make a "cloud" rain.  I hope they shared this activity with you!
